Yesterday was an awesome day, for two reasons. When my friend, Donna and I first moved to Texas, it was all hot and humid and I was kinda bummed because I much prefer fresh weather. But despite the heat, we still were really diggin Texas. Yesterday though, Houston surprised us and it snowed! It was just a little bit but it was still soo sweet! So, that was the first thing that made my day awesome. A little clip of our quick time in the snow:
Here’s the second thing: For the past two weeks or so, Matt Brouwer and I have been writing and working on songs for my new EP. WHAT?! Yup, I’m recording an EP! Sweet, right?! Ah, I’m really thankful and super excited! So yesterday, we got together with Charlie (drums) and Marcus (guitar) and jammed out to the songs, working out arrangements for each of them. Man, it was so sweet, guys. I’m so stoked about these songs and I can’t wait for you to hear them. I will keep you guys posted on all that goes down with everything. The guys really laid down some sick ideas on all the songs yesterday and I’m pumped!
One last thing I wanted to share with you. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about passion, you know? Nobody wants something stale. We all want something fresh. Nobody wants something fake. We want something real, honest and true. Jesus is passionate about loving you and filling your life with real meaning and purpose. What do we gotta do to live like He did? Something to ponder... :)
I’ve been reading through the book of Hebrews with some friends and it’s been awesome and convicting. Here’s one of my favorite verses lately.
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. –Hebrews 1:14
